コントは、社会変動は人間精神の発達によるとして、｢3段階の法則｣を提唱。 この説の骨格をなす考えは、社会を有機体として理解する点にある。 人類社会の進歩は、そこに内在する精神の発達によってもたらされると考えられた。 その変遷を3段階に分けた説が以下。 (精神)神学的-(社会)軍事的 (精神)形而上学的-(社会)法律的 (精神)実証的-(社会)産業的 これが3段階の法則。 コントは、産業社会の到来は、人間の精神の結果であり、望ましいものであるとした。 しかし一方、社会の変化は社会を不安定にすることもあり。 そこでコントは、進歩とともに、秩序を考えることを社会学の重要な課題とした。 この観点から、コントは自らの社会学を、進歩を扱う社会動学と、秩序を扱う社会静学とに分けた。 PR
